Membership
Membership applications are welcomed from all, whether novice, beginner, improver or experienced golfer. For those non-golfers, we offer a social membership at the Club which allows you to enjoy our friendly and varied social calendar and also benefit from members discounts over the bar. Plenty of opportunities to play friendly and informal golf make new friends on the course or at social evenings held in the Clubhouse. Why join South Staffs?
• Our members enjoy year round golf on ‘Harry Vardon’s hidden treasure’. Drainage of the course is excellent and it is rarely closed other than for ice or snow so members can enjoy playing golf for 52 weeks per year.
• You can also enjoy the reciprocal green fee arrangements we have with Brocton Hall, Ingestre Park, Shrewsbury, Arscott, Vale of Llangollen and Llanymynech Golf Clubs.
• We have our own driving range and practice area for the exclusive use of the Members and visitors to the Club.
• Trolley and buggy bans are seldom in force and members can expect to play a Course which is always superbly presented.
• Getting a game of golf at South Staffs is rarely a problem. It’s often possible to enter the competitions at the last moment and there are ‘mix in’s on Saturday afternoon’s when competitions are not played.
• We have thriving Junior, Ladies and Senior sections who enjoy a full competition schedule aimed at players of all standards.

The annual fees for 2012 are detailed below. The Club offers the facility to spread the payment over 12 months using Fairway Credit. Members can also use the Club's own direct debit facility to pay subscriptions in 6 installments on the first day of each month from January through to June inclusive. Subscriptions can also be paid by Credit Card, however, there is a surcharge of 2.5% to pay by this method.

Procedure for Applying for Membership of South Staffordshire Golf Club Limited.
If you are interested in joining the Club we would ask that you write in giving a brief history of yourself and your golfing experience together with the names of any current members who know you and may be approached to sponsor your application. If you know two members who will act as a proposer and seconder we would welcome letters from them in support of you.
Following the first approach from you our procedures require an information form to be completed followed by interview and then election to membership after your application form has been displayed in the Clubhouse for 14 days. These steps can be dealt with speedily and once they are complete and the financial details have been attended to your membership of the Club is in place.

Junior Members do not pay entrance fees or interest free loans and any Junior moving up to adult membership no longer pays entrance fees.

Junior Members would normally have an informal interview with the Club Manager and either the Mens or Lady Captain.
Membership Fees are reviewed annually, effective 1st January.
Your first year subscription is calculated pro-rata to end of December.
