"May I thank you and your whole team for making our day at South Staffs Golf Club such a memorable and enjoyable day. I had already enjoyed a great day playing in your Seniors AM/AM competition on June 15th when I thought the course was in superb condition, the catering was excellent and the whole day very professionally organised, topped by Peter Baker awarding the prizes.
However, when I brought 28 members of my club, Harpenden Golf Club to play your course as part of Captain's Tour last Thursday, South Staffs excelled itself. The day before we had played Beau Desert Golf Club, and everyone was delighted with a course that lived up to it's reputation. But the warm welcome we received at South Staffs, matched with a course in peak condition made me very happy with the choice I had made. Many of our party thought the greens were as good as, if not better than Beau Desert.
The friendliness of all the staff from the Pro shop, the bar and the catering was a treat for my fellow club members, nothing was too much trouble. We were warmly welcomed, blessed with fine weather and a day that went without a hitch.
Well done to everyone involved at South Staffs, I only wish the club we visited on our final day could visit your club to see how it should be done."
